Has anyone bought one of these?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/360622720262?item=360622720262&viewitem=&vxp=mtr
I had a Carbon Fiber one, but the car is low and it did not last long.

Did you put the 3M CARBON FIBER contact paper over it?

Thanks!

Do you think the guy that is cutting the plastic lip on the bottom would do two? I would be glad to pay him for his time.

Also, I bought a new bumper to mess with, but now that I found the splitter I like, I think I am going paint most of the to match the car and just leave the bottom black and wrap it like you did. I think it would cool to use dzus fasteners every 10" or so, since I have that extra bumper I mess it.

Thanks!

they are still there. if i make the splitter full depth i will have to cut holes for the brake ducts and the radiator bottom opening - dont know yet. the benefit would be to have a nice flat surface under the front for increase aerodynamics....other way is to just make the splitter only about 4" wide and just attach it to the bottom of the front spoiler.

I just installed the spoiler/splitter.

I found it by mistake on Ebay for $150 shipped. I had the top part painted yellow and the bottom part painted like carbon fiber.

Default DIY - wind splitter

im still working on my wind splitter, but just noticed on another photo how the Zr1 replicas extend underneath all the way back covering the radiator bottom opening....is this for the GS and Z06 only, or can you do this also on the base C6.....no cooling problems?

The Zo6 and GS have a bigger opening for cooling, so they don't have a hole in the bottom for air to pass to the radiator.

Look at the APR one for a regular c6. I would use that as the model.

As noted, wide-body Vettes are not bottom fed; only the base ones. So no, you'd probably overheat your car in short order with it blocked. Honestly, don't know what's different, since the front grille opening seems actually SMALLER overall on my GS due to only the middle 2 rectangles allowing air into the radiator area. The brake air ducts are behind the outer 2 'slots' on the grille. Good luck man.

Default Wind splitter templates

ok, so i had some time today to continue to work on the new splitter templates and was able to cut it out of card board..got some creative juices going and added some wider "wing" corners...but with mixed results..here are a few shots of the three versions. which one to fab?

the Racing version - 5" wide at corners

the Extreme version - 3"wide at corners

the Sport version - single width
