Most LS folks consider Kooks or American Racing headers the best Corvette performance header. LG Motorsports has headers made by Borla that some folks like for their low end torque. LG headers perform well, but use a slip fit between the header and mid pipe and can work loose.
We had two sets of Dynatech BBC race headers a couple of years ago. We used a scope to inspect the interior welds/bends and they had large burrs in the primary tubes. Apparently the tubing was cut and not deburred before welding. I returned both sets and spoke to the folks at Dynatech about them. They are manufactured in Mexico and the folks their took some short cuts in the manufacturing process.
You might consider headers manufactured by Billy Boat Performance Exhaust located in Arizona. American made.great quality and materials. I have had there headers on 3 of my Corvettes.Fit is great. The latest being my 2013 GS.

Being the Product Manager for Dynatech Headers, I felt it necessary to weigh in on this post.
First and foremost, I apologize for you having to return the headers as a result of you not being satisfied with the product.
Regarding your comment about the headers being manufactured in Mexico, this is certainly not the case in any way, shape or form. We proudly manufacture our headers at our facility in Boonville, IN. I do not know where the incorrect information came from, however I encourage you to contact me at 800-848-5850 (ext 6254) or at gafuesler@afcoracing.com at your convenience if you have any questions. As always, we are glad to answer any questions and help all past, present and future customers.
Sincerely,
Greg Fuesler
I have Dynatech Headers and a catted midpipe on my 2013 GS and have really enjoyed them. I paired them with a G5X3 cam from LG Motorsports and an LG tune and got some decent results (470 rwhp).
Looks like i need a cam and tune also,,,where do i stop?
You don't... lol, I'm doing the whole thing at once, cam, heads, valves, guides, intake, headers, tune etc. Oh, and then I have to address the tires to get the most out of the upgrades. Addicting
I have had a set of dynatech 1 7/8 headers on my 2008 since 3000 miles and a few months after purchased new. No problems and make good power. I would buy again and recomend without a second thought.
Is everyone using a tune with headers? Their is know tunning shops around where i live. Not sure where to get one?
I had Dynatech 1 7/8" on my '05 C6, excellent headers.
A tune will definately add HP. Find a tuner in a city nearby, make an appointment and drive to the tuner's shop. Post in your Regional Forum for advice on who to use that's close to you.
