I replaced my 2012 base coupe front spring with a low mileage C6 Z51 front spring. The front of the car seems lower and scrapes more than before. Is it possible that this spring lowered my car. Is it possible that the dealer lowered the car when he put in the new spring. Any ideas?
Thanks

The spring has a ride height adjuster at either end. It needs to be set to the height you want.

That is certainly a possibility.
When they put the new spring in, they may not have noted how the old spring was set.
If they are adjusting it up, every turn of the bolt will raise the fender arch by about 1/4", and your car will probably look like a monster truck. But after a couple of hundred miles, it will settle so you end up with about 1/8" for each turn.
There are a couple of threads under my name about how to measure the proper height, you might want to check out what others have experienced.
That sounds like a lot, but the only way to be sure is to drive for a while.
Best of luck to you.
Changing ride height can also change alignment, so get a good alignment job after all the adjusting is done and you have a few hundred miles on it. Tires are expensive.
