Default Question about oil pressure

I have a question concerning oil pressure. I recently purchased a 2005 C6 with 33K miles. It was a one owner by an elderly couple. I`ve had it completely serviced and inspected. The shop used the correct 5w30 synthetic oil. When the engine is warmed up it idles at around 25 psi. When driving at 65-70 it has 45 psi. The oil gauge on these cars have an 80 psi gauge. I thought it would carry more pressure than this. Is this normal? I own a 2001 Suburban I bought new and it now has 147K miles and it still carries 65 psi oil pressure.
Thanks in advance for your expertise.

My 2006 C6 has similar oil pressure. Yours is normal.

Our 2006 LS2 (same engine as OP), when using Mobil1 5W-30, gave the following oil pressures when the oil temp was 180'F:

Idle = 32 psi
2,000 rpm = 48 psi

Our 2009 LS3 is virtually the same.

For an accurate comparison, be sure the oil temp is correct, that makes a big difference in pressure.
