Default Dave @ yank converters

Wanted to let everyone know that i was impressed with Dave of Yank converters. This morning i called him with questions about converters and what would be best for my ls2. Dave not only took the time to speak to me in length, about what would work and what would not. He was very very helpful and didnt try to rush me off the phone. He even gave me examples of converters that he had done. In the past in cars with my power and with my A4 tranny. What the real sixty foot were and how much power they were really making. All of which helped me make a better decision on what to buy. The conversation must have lasted a good thirty minutes. He had me feeling good about spending my hard earned money to get the right converter of my 2005 corvette.

I know i have read some threads where they have said he wasnt very nice to deal with. But i must say that for this occasion he was a blast to deal with. And i would recommed him to anyone who asked me where to get a converter from.

I went from 1.45 with vig then 1.34 with yank with only a 2000 rpm launch . Couldn't launch higher as track was green and cold

I have the Yank 2800 for my E-Force because Dave took the time to work with me, pouring over my options and what would work best for my application. It would not be a waste of your time to contact Dave when considering the addition of a stall.

Im not up on converters very much and have a few questions. I have an A6 running about 420+ whp and 410 wtq at the wheels.

What is the stock converter stats and with my power which is coming from a street cam and headers, what would be a good number to go up to? Its a DD street car for off the line and highway running.

Also by going to a higher converter does that mean my rpm will always be higher even at a stop and can I still cruise at 65 in the 1400 rpm range? Thanks.

I suggest you give Dave of Yank Performance a call to discuss your options, and what to expect from the addition of a Stall.

Default test results

Well went to the track last night and here are some of the results. Best pass of three . 11.42 @119.45 60ft 1.52 it was 91 degrees and we still have some tuning to do . Converter was locking up as soon as car shifted into third so that slowed us down. Track was not biting since it was so hot... Have some convertrer or transmission pump problems, trans fluid leaking out of peak hole , grinding noise coming from that area. Sounds like something has let go, towing car to shop , they will tear it down to see what has busted, will let u guys know what we find. Might be reason why 60s are off a little. Over all pleased with et 11.62 down to 11.42 could have been better if tuner can figure how to keep converter from locking up so soon. This really killed the top end.... I can really see car will run 11.20s when all is corrected would have at least ran 30s tonight but lock up wouldn't cooperate
