Post '07 steering wheel on '06 car
It occurred to me: since I have it totally disassembled anyway, would it be possible to take out my original steering wheel and to install a newer wheel with radio controls? I see the '10 wheel available on gmpartsdirect.com for $144.
* Are there any compatibility issues between the '06 steering column and a newer, say, '10 wheel? Can I reuse the airbag?
* How do I get it connected? Mine has no wiring from the wheel to the radio. I'm already getting OS-2C-BOSE, it seems that I need SWI-PS, but I'm not clear on the connection from SWI-PS to the wheel. Is that a part that I can get on gmpartsdirect, and, if so, does anyone know the part name / number?
Here's a good DIY:

One aspect is not totally clear. If I'm reading this correctly, the guy from the writeup has a radio/navigation unit from the '08 Corvette, which is why he can plug the wires directly into his unit. Since I'm putting in a third party unit, I need to go through a steering wheel control adapter, e.g. SWI-PS (http://www.pac-audio.com/productDeta...&CategoryID=29), is that correct?
