I have an 06 coupe and want to put a set of headers on it . I know that I will need a tune.My question is, how long does a tune last assuming I don`t do any other mods to the car? Does the tune need to be up dated regularly? What type of tune will I need? There was a rather long discussion the other day about tunes and a certain tuner (let it lie) but there was no mention of any number of tunes one would need to keep the car in good shape. Also, what is the average fee for a tune? I am not knowing. Remember gentleman,Marquis de Queensbury rules. Thanx, Bat Pig out.
If your computer is tuned for your modifications your tune will not need updating unless you add more parts. A computer tune does not erode or get old. It may not be as good as a new tune with more parameters but for all intents and purposes you will always have your tune as long as you have the same ECM in your car.
Fee: Depending on location ranges from $3-500 if you want it tuned on a dyno. Otherwise for headers a mail-order tune (i.e. you remove and mail you ecm to reputable sponsor) or street tune would work and cost less. However you don't get a cool dyno printout.

Would you ever think about replacing your stock LS2 intake with a FAST 102 intake? http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...st-intake.html Also if & when you have a tune done, I would have them save a copy to a thumb drive for later use. A dyno tune in my area is around $400 - $500. Good Luck!
