Default Wheel spacers/replacement studs

I have a 2005 corvette and in shipment are my SR1 black rims/10 spoke..that require 1/8" spacers on front only. Well I bought 5mm which is in the ballpark of 1/4-less than 3/8". I put them on with my stock rims w/I changing the studs. Just to see what it looks like...got about 4 complete turns which into eyes is not drivable and safe. I'd think 7-8 would be.
Question would be what is the stock stud length and how hard is it to swap out all of the studs?

I run 1/4" spacers all round on a 2 1/2" drop. I use the stock wheel studs and e-lugs made by gorrilla. They extend into the wheel furturer than stock. I get 9 turns on mine.

What are e-lugs. I looked on the gorilla site and didn't find them.

Btw replacing the studs is not a trivial job.

The name of the lugs you need is ET-lugs [extended thread lug nuts]. I used half inch longer studs on my base with stock lug nuts and half inch spacer to clear ZO6 brakes. Studs were from DRM, Arp also makes some. Front studs are easy to change, you just remove them and install new ones. Rear studs require you to remove hub which requires suspension disassembly so is a much more involved job. You can find video's of rear hub removal on You Tube to see what is involved. Some people just use the extended thread lug nuts because you do not have to change the studs, some people want the longer stronger studs.

With 5mm spacers you just need to use ET lugs. (extended thread). Something like these but I didn't check carefully and just posted this for an example. Make sure you get the right size.
