Default Help Battery Drain issue

Hey everyone,

I have a issue where my battery is draining pretty fast when the car is off. I took the alternator and battery off to get tested and they are fine. I re installed with a fully charged battery drove it around like 10 miles or so and just parked it. I also disconnected my amp wire to the battery and removed my radio fuse to see if that is the issue or not. Going to let it sit for a few hours and see if it drains as I have a few things to do and its raining. Anyone have any suggestions on some DIY tips?? I greatly appreciate it. I have the ngk tr6 plugs in the car as well. I have read that they cause issues too. I have had them in since my heads cam install ( 8 months or so) Ordering some Ls9s tonight probably. (going to do this anyways because i am not going with spray anymore on the car) Besides that its a H/C/I car with a aftermarket amp for the after market door speakers and pioneer HU. (all electronics"professionally" done by a shop) Car is a 07 with almost 80k miles. Battery was changed 2 years ago but as i stated it tested good. Any help is appreciated

Add fuel to the fire....
on way to work this morning i heard a loud metal clink coming from my 09 g8 gt so i pulled over and found a huge screw in the tire. Having it patched tomorrow.

use a voltmeter and put it inline between the pos. cable and the battery (un do the cable) set it on MV and pull 1 fuse at a time until you find the cause of the draw. most circuits will be in the MV and the bad circuit will probably have a draw of over 1 volt.

MAKE SURE YOU TURN THE DOME LIGHT OFF WHEN CHECKING OR YOU WILL DAMAGE YOUR METER.

IF you have a wild to mild switch, make sure it is in the "loud" mode when you shut the car off.

I used an amp meter on the negative side. Otherwise, I did everything just like truckplay.

think about cleaning or replacing the outside door pads/switches. That was the cause of serious drain for me. They can be bought for 12 bucks each or cleaned for free. Not everyone has luck cleaning them, I tried but just bought new ones. Goof luck.
