Damn, you guys are lucky, my 2006 battery lasted exactly 6 years, like 6 years to the week LOL. And I thought mine was on the 'longevity' side of that scale too.
I replaced my factory battery with another one from the dealer parts counter, ($102) slightly more pricey but the factory battery in the C6 lasted from 07 till 2013 and the one in my old Sierra lasted a long time. I replaced that one as a preemptive as it was original and had almost 90K miles on it, figured it wasn't much longer for this world.
Replaced my original in my 06 after 6 years 5 months. It was still going strong but I felt it was time to replace it at my convenience rather than the car's convenience in some isolated location. I use a battery tender whenever it's in my garage.
The OEM battery in my 07 vert is still going strong after over 6 years last April. It is a DD but shares that duty with my ZR1 so it might be a week between driving and then it may get driven several days in a row or not again for several days to come; i.e., sporadically.
Dec 2005 - present. Battery tender. Car spends most of the week under wraps. Went to Vegas July 4 weekend (116 degrees thru the dessert). Hotter than heck all weekend. That can't be good but my battery is still going strong.
My battery is dead came with car almost 5 years ago and I have a 05 so not bad going to replace it today anyone have any luck with a SAMs club battery?
