Default looking for a radiator shroud

Hi,
I just need the pos plastic rectangular piece that sits in front of the radiator that is cut when someone puts an aftermarket CAI on the car. I called my local dealer and gmpartswarehouse and both said the shroud only comes as a complete kit with fan and everything. Local dealer wanted $400+ and gmparts wanted $200+! WTH. I know people use to buy the oem shroud for 40 bux or so. Thanks for any leads.

They may not be looking up the correct price. I bought one from the local dealer for around $50. I just found one online from a GM dealer for $39.52 with a list price of $63.33

It sounds like they are looking up the radiator shroud/fan assembly that sits behind the radiator. The GM Parts Catalog calls the part you are looking for a Baffle. Parts Taxi sells the Z06 version for $41 and change. Look for it under Cooling System.

Whenever you are talking to the dealer parts department you need to be there looking over their shoulder when they are selecting the items you are looking for. They have illustrations for most of the parts and you can quickly say I don't want that, I want this one instead.
