What I have observed, is that most A6 pulls are done in 4th gear (1.15 to 1) and all M6 pulls are 4th gear (1 to 1). Since no two dynos will be the same, the average A6 vs M6 difference is somewhere in the 20-30 HP range.
If you'd like to see my first stock baseline pull that was only 306 HP on a Mustang dyno, I'll post it. Then after I put on a full Z06 exhaust, a CAI, a tune, and a 3600 converter, I had a 382 HP pull on a Dynojet and managed to run a 10.820 @ 125.82. If that sounds funny, then throw this in the mix. There are lots of both M6 and A6 bolt-on cars that dyno in the 425 HP area and you would suspect the M6 ones to dyno higher, yet only one M6 car (on the LS3 bolt-on performance list) has run quicker than 11.50.
I think that should tell you what you already know. That dyno comparisons have no value except for changes made to the same car on the same dyno and on the same day.
