Default Another NPP question

Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on the best bi-mode controller system for the NPP exhaust.

Thanks, Jim

Of course we believe our controllers are the best!

We have three Exhaust Commander versions to choose from and have been manufacturing and selling our products here on CF continuously since 2007!

Every product that we sell is covered by a lifetime warranty for the purchaser! Where do you find that on modern day electronics?

You can click on the name of each one and go to our description page here on CorvetteForum.

#1 : Exhaust Commander Elite - This is the top of the line NPP controller.

Exhaust Commander Elite has 3 user modes. Loud mode, Quiet mode, and USER RPM mode.

When using the USER RPM mode you get to select the RPM at which the NPP exhaust opens at!

You control the NPP exhaust with your door lock button on the door panel when in the car, and your Corvette's keyfob when outside the car!

Check out the HD video that shows all its amazing features.

#2 : Exhaust Commander Car2u - The controller is able to be controlled using the universal visor remote built into your sunvisor. Only one button on the sun visor is needed leaving the other two buttons for your garages and gates.

#3 : Exhaust Commander One Button - Uses a wireless remote to open and close your bi-mode exhaust. You can choose one or two remotes when you place your order. If you ever lose a remote or need to add another one you can purchase the remote from us and get back up and running.

If anyone has any questions about our products, feel free to give us a call or send us a message.

I can't speak for the other controllers but I can say I have owned a Exhaust Commander for over 3+ years with no issues. I press the button they open, I press the button again they close, think KISS.

The first controller I used was home made. It was basically a toggle switch that would open/close the circuit. Total cost was like $12. You can search the forum for others that have make their own toggle switch.

I never mounted the switch because I wanted to make sure it would work for my needs and I was trying to figure out where to drill a hole to mount the switch. Then someone on here posted the M2W remote switch used for sale. It was a good price and decided it was a better choice than drilling a hole in the dash of my new car.

As an added bonus, I like being able to open/close the flaps from outside the car too.

Foot switch in the dead pedal. "Look Ma, No Hands".

I just removed the fuse , ground down two wire conectors , put an inline fuse , a switch in the glove box , vel cro on the switch and side of the glove box and that was cheap , works great.

I just installed the SOC controller on my 2013 GS. It is STUPID EASY to do--as they used to say on TV, "Even a neanderthal could do it." I read the installation instructions online and went out to the garage and was done in 5 minutes! I chose SOC simply because they offer the option of only one fob and the unit was on sale for $79. Lifetime warranty, too. Presume the M2W would be identical in terms of installation. If you wanted the low cost option of a manual switch, you could easily find the parts described in the post above at an auto parts outlet for less than $10. Do it. I love the sound of the exhaust wide open, but also love the quiet on the x-way with it closed.

I'm with the build your own crowd. For under 10 bucks all you need is a micro switch and a fuse holder and some wire. Works like a charm.

Homemade switch. Works just the same and saves money.

I have the Exhaust Commander Elite. I find I use it 90% of the time in the user programmed mode. That's what makes this unit so different.
