Default cooling fan noise

So how do I quite the high pitch sound of the electric cooling fans. Here in Oklahoma they run almost all the time and I would love to quite them down. Any ideas?

Go into the tune and increase the temps that the fans turn on. That should quiet them down somewhat and is quite easy to do.

Thanks when I got my tune we actually lowered the temp the fan comes to try and keep the temp down. Thats when the noise started to get to me.

Start at 25% at 192*. Step up 3-4 times in increments to top out no more than 90% and in your part of the country maybe 216-218*. If you make the next to last increment around 65-70% at 205*, it'll still be fairly quiet until you really do need the last bit of speed.

In Phoenix where we have more 110+* highs in the summer than overnight lows under 40* in the winter, I need to take a more aggressive approach, so I'm at 90% by 201*
