Default Motor Mount Replace

Need some help on this one. I'm replacing both motor mounts and trying to do this by lowering the engine cradle (I've seen other posts that did it this way). My problem is that I can't get the cradle to drop down after I've loosened all the bolts. I've got the motor supported, loosened the four cradle bolts, loosened both motor mounts top and bottom, but the cradle will not drop down. I can lower the engine slightly and it will come down the same amount, but when I raise the engine back to the normal position, the cradle follows it back up. Both motor mounts are completely loose, just cant get the height difference to clear the long mount bolts.

I can't see anything else that appears to be attached to the cradle. What am I missing?

Could it be the oil cooler lines for the trans?

Both the engine and/or the cradle can be dropped way down as you can see. However, I had everything from the bell housing back removed prior to these photos.

Seems it is just force from the leaf spring. I put a floor jack under the control arm on one side and lifting it helped lower the other side. An assist from a pry bar and there was enough room to pull out the motor mount. Swapped sides and repeated the process. Could probably do the entire job in 2 hours the next time.

Two new mounts now installed and ready to roll.

Did you also unbolt the shocks and upper control arm bolts?

No need to unbolt the shocks or the upper control arms. All of the suspension, exhaust, cooling lines, and everything else has enough room to leave them connected. Only had to undo four cradle bolts and the two nuts on each motor mount.
