I don't know about everyone else, but I've been screwing around with LED's for a month without success. The first set of rear bulbs produced RF and destroyed the radio signal. Turns out to be the power supply on the latest and greatest bulbs. I kept the reverse bulbs because a short interruption is no problem. They were bright though.
I then went back a generation to SMP bulbs. Not as bright, but didn't produce the RF problem. Now every time I step on the brake, the DRL green warning light in the dash comes on and the gauge lights dim half way. It's the little green light that looks like two headlights facing each other.
I have resisters installed on all four bulbs in the rear. All the LED lights and stock lights function properly including the DRL's.
Its a 13 Grand Sport. What am I missing here? Are LED's just not allowed?
I have EE rear tails and have no such issues. I guess I shouldn't say that. I don't know for sure about radio reception. My radio seems to work fine but I know for a fact the Vette's radio reception is not as good as my Civic's is. I don't notice any change in reception when I have the turn signal on or when I have the brakes on. I know my reverse lights totally cut off all radio reception though.
I removed the resistor packs though as I don't mind the hyperflash. I guess I'd rather have hyperflashing than have 4 square heat packs back there.
