Default Beat the Texas Heat

Just a shout out to the boys at EnglandGreen.

Had them install a Dewitts radiator with dual fans on my modded '12 GS.

I can sit in traffic now with outside temps hitting close to 100 and not see water temps over 220.

Before the install, I was pegging at 230-235. I would have to kill the AC until engine temps dropped a bit (if the AC did not cut off automatically by then).

If you're having heat issues, seriously check into this mod!

Yeah I am often in traffic and have the windows down when it is 100 outside here in Houston during rush hour. 230-235 is pretty normal for me in heavy traffic lately. I got stuck in a wreck a couple weeks ago and hit 250 (outside air was 108 due to all the vehicles) . How much did the new radiator and fans set you back? I am afraid my radiator and fan aren't helped by the large intercooler in front of it.

It must be your fans, because my DeWitt's will go over 200 easily sitting in traffic@ 90 degrees

How far beyond 220 are you hitting?

This is the number I used as a benchmark.

In the 210's, along with my heart rate. Our heat isn't near as brutal as yours.

If it gets to high, just roll down the windowns and turn the heater on full. I did this a few times when I got stuck in traffic.
