I just had a new guy do a re-tune on my Z06. Chuck CoW did the original tune with the CowBoost. I needed to dial back the CowBoost because it was too sensitive. Chuck is not good at returning calls, messages, or PMs so I had a new local tuner give it a shot. (Precision Dyno, 401-996-2166). The owner, Dave, was very helpful and found all the tables Chuck had adjusted to dial back the throttle response. (CowBoost). He also found a few extra ponies that Chuck left on the table since he data logs AND DYNO tunes. CoW only data logs. I was very pleased with the results and I know he'll be available to help me if I have any problems or concerns. Check him out, he's located just outside Providence, RI.
There is also Slowhawk Performance in Bridgwater, MA just north of you who also Dyno Tunes and has extensive LSx experience. They are a Forum Vendor, they're website is:
Thanks for the props guys. We have about 13 years experience in tuning lsx based cars. All cars are street tuned, then they hit the dyno. We feel this is the best way to tune a car for drivability and performance.
I went to Slowhawk a few years ago and my car was only dyno tuned. Chuck CoW only street tunes. I found that to be pretty dangerous since we had to do some WOT runs approaching 100mph in afternoon NY traffic! Not safe! I was very happy with Dave at Precision Dyno. He really explained things about what he was doing.

Things change as you learn. The few years ago was probably 6 years ago when I was at Dez.
We street tune within the speed limit which is drivability tuning. All WOT tuning is done on a full load dyno to mimic the highway. I like my driver license clean.
The number 1 reason our dyno is in the floor. Not at head height. I've seen engines and trannys come apart. Would seriously hurt people with a car that high.
A dyno is no worse than going down the highway. I'd rather have a motor blow on a dyno than oil down the rear tires on the highway.
