I posted in the FI Forum as well, but figured I may get more visibility here. Today I went to back my car out of the garage and after cranking it and reversing, I noticed it wasn't idling right. Upon walking to the rear of the car, I noticed that the cam lope is completely off and the car is MUCH louder at idle than normal.
I can't hear any audible knock so I don't think it's something from the bottom end but I am not certain.
I figured it may have been a rocker or something so I started pulling the valve covers today. The driver sides appears to be fine, going to tackle the passenger side first thing in the morning.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what this might be? Or something I've missed?
Currently I'm thinking of a few possibilities:
Rocker
Vacuum leak(a stretch?)
Bad plug and/or wire
Coil has gone bad
The car is an LS3 motor with about 1200 miles on it, D1SC blower @ 9.5 lbs boost, 60lb injectors, TR6 plugs.

has the "mil" come on ? A cam lobe problem does not happen overnight it would get bad alittle at a time. A bad lifter could. Pulling the valve covers would answer the question about plug wires rocker arms and valve springs all of which cause what you are hearing. You may want to pull the plugs and do a compression check.
Determined today that the front lifter on the passenger side has dropped. The rocker actually lifts off of the spring and the push rod is extremely loose.
Luck you caught it. Hows that cam lobe look? Can you get visibility on it? If you caught it early enough you might be okay just swapping the lifter. If it was allowed carry on like that for any length of time, it will have likely beat that lobe's profile up a fair bit, which would consequently prematurely wear the next lifter begetting the same result.

In short, check that cam out.
I had a stroke of luck hit, and I'm getting a brand new LS3 motor all together...
Going to swap that hotcam for something a bit more blower friendly while it's out of the car.
