Dewitt's Radiator TOC fittings wrong size!?!
On the Dewitt's Radiator, the hose fittings for the transmission cooler are bigger than the factory fittings....
Does the radiator come with adapters that I didn't get? I'm seeing something about -10AN fittings included or optional on some websites who sell it. Need two of these ASAP, any advice on what I need and where to get it quick is appreciated.
Thanks guys!
PS - I picked the radiator up from a forum member with the same year Z (2006)

Go to your local parts house and see if they have a #800-605 Dorman. This just might be what you need.

Reason: wrong part number
The holes in our trans cooler ARE different than the stock ones. That is why we supply the fittings with each radiator, so the fitting matches the tube. The correct way to remove this type of fitting is to push the snap ring out and pull the tube out, leaving the fittings in the radiator. People that do not know how this fitting works, thread the fitting out of the radiator and leave it on the lines, which is what the previous owner must have done. If you just call in 517-548-0600 we will send you two of them no charge and you won't have to post any more threads

Thanks Tom. I posted in two areas to get the most visibility for a quick answer. You and your employees have been extremely helpful and friendly. I will recommend your quality radiators to everyone! Christy mailed me out a couple fittings when I spoke to her on the phone.
One question, can I remove those fittings and bypass the cooler with a section of hose for a few days so that the car can be driven? On the stock radiator the cooler wasn't sealed to the radiator inside, so when I removed the lines radiator coolant would come out of those holes also. In other words I couldn't bypass the cooler on the stock radiator without putting bolts in the holes.

You can connect the two steel lines together to circulate the trans fluid. You do not have to do anything to the holes in the cooler because nothing is going into the cooler, so nothing will come out. I doubt that was coolant you saw coming out on the stock radiator because that would mean the coolant and tranny fluid would be mixing

That's what I expected as well but the actual cooler on my stock radiator was held to the housing by the connection pulling it to the wall of the plastic. I will take a picture tomorrow. In other words, if the bolt came loose there would have possibly leaked coolant into the transmission. I'm not sure if this is normal or if the TOC housing came disconnected from the radiator when I took it out. Seemed like a horrible design to me as well..... First time removing a stock C6 radiator so I wasn't sure if it was defective or that's how they are. I know I'm running a Zr1 trans now and there's no coolant in it (drained it and refilled it just to make sure). But I did drain the coolant before I removed the TOC lines.
Does anyone make silicone hoses for the Z06 that anyone knows of?
