Air induction products
I purchased a 2009 C6 3LT in Feb this year. It is completely stock. I am looking at changing out the original air induction unit. I am looking at either the Blackwing or the K&N. ideas on which is better?

I used the K&N on my '06 and it made a difference. As the LS3 uses the same system as the Z06 now, keeping it stock on my '13. If it feeds the Z's hp needs, it certainly should be more than adequate for the LS3. The older, 2 filter setup sucked. Big improvement with the later models. Not worth $400 no matter how you look at it to change.

I prefer the stock intake because of the hydraulic characteristics of the 2 filter inlet, I have yet to see anything come close. But if I had to pick between your two options, the hydraulic design of the K&N is better IMO....

unless you are doing engine work don't waste your money the factory system works great. You can open the shroud up for FREE or change the top section to that from a Z (without the air diffuser) if you like.
