Default Differential

Hi, I have a couple questions. 1. I removed the differential on a 2005 from the trans.( broken support leg) There is a cast aluminum Plate seal that says to transmission on it with the # 6250023600. How does that come out?
Would anyone have the part #s for the plate the seal and o-ring? 2. The axle shafts came out easy enough but I noticed a c ring on the diff gears. How do you slip them back on with this c ring there? Seems they would keep the shaft from sliding back on. Thanks for any advice .

The axle shafts should slide back onto the output splines at either side just as-is. No c-clipping of any sort. As far as a the seal, I don't recall that. The o-ring, yes, but not the seal you're speaking about. Do you have a picture?

I'm not sure about the o-ring part number, but I've ordered from both RPM and GMPartsHouse (IIRC) just by naming them and received the right part. 2005 diff/trans in my case as well.

There are C clips on the axles but they just slide right in with the clips on them. No worries there.

Thank you, actually it's called a plate. It has a seal in the center. I have the part#'s for the C5 12369457 I'll see if my local dealer or Gene Culley can cross ref: to C6 2005. The plate just doesn't seem to come out without possibly damaging the inside by prying. The old diff has the legs broke so we are not going to reuse. The axle shafts look like this will not be a problem to reinstall. Thanks again
