Hello all, I want to lower my C6. I had my C5 lowered on long bolts but the ride was to rough for me. I dont want to spend 3k on spindles because Im just looking for the stance. Is there another way of getting the nice stance without spindles? Any advise on what you have done would be helpfull. Thank You!!!
if you bottom out the factory bolts without cutting the bushings you will get @ 3/4 drop and it will not affect the ride. if you cut the bushings you may get another 1/2-3/4 on the rear, but you will take the shocks outside they damping setting. if you have F55 suspension it is not a good idea going any lower than the bottom of the stock bolts with the bushings still there.
I was looking to lower my 08 Z06 and decided on Pfadt Lightweight Coilovers and had them installed at ECS in NJ. They treated me really well and dropped one inch at the front and about 2 at the back. The ride is at least as good as stock and the handling is WOW! Drove with the stock wheels for a couple of months till my D2 Forged wheels came in! Worth every penny I spent!

I did the Pfadt kit that included the coilovers and never looked back. I did the lowering bolts and cutting the rubber, but in the end, coilovers are the answer.
