I haven't found one yet that doesn't provide good service. However, even if you go to the worst one mentioned on the forum they will probably be better than most of the independent shops in your area. You have to remember there just aren't that many Corvette knowledgeable mechanics outside of the dealerships and a lot of areas in the country don't have anybody besides the dealer to do the work.
I have 3 dealerships within 20 miles of me. I also have at least 100 independent shops
near me. I wouldn't take a junker to the 3 closest to me. I tried one for a repair on my Tahoe because they were supposedly good, sponsored my grandson's little league team and their price was cheaper than the dealers. What a nightmare. The mechanic didn't follow the instructions and failed to lock the steering column thus ruining the steering sensor and the clock spring. When they fixed those two items they broke the dashboard cover. Then 6 months later I complained about a weird noise I was hearing while the dealer was doing the annual state inspection and they found the new U Joint the other shop installed was about to fall out of the vehicle. I took the repair bill and got reimbursement from the other shop owner. He asked me why I didn't bring it back for them to fix and I said "You know why"
