Sometimes no problem opening the right (passenger) door, sometimes I have to squeeze and fiddle for it to work. I figure I have to take the switch apart apart and clean it. Any hints?
I don't think it is a fob problem.
Interior button works fine. No problem with left door and hatch.
My wife complained to me about the passenger door being hard to open from the outside. I just thought she wasn't pushing on the pad correctly, until I tried it myself. It would work OK sometimes, but most of the time, it took a few stabs to get it to open the door. I took the pad apart, cleaned all the contacts, put it back together, and now works super easy.
2 main screws holds the pad/handle to the door. Then 4 small screws to be removed from pad to expose the contacts. Clean with emery cloth, and put back together again.
PS: The contact area seemed to have oxidization. The emery cloth made the contacts nice and shiny again.
