Default Back up camera for factory nav

I am looking again for a back up camera for the factory nav system.
I was told that coastaletech no longer supplies the Lockpic application by a supplier who sells the new units although I see they still show it on their website.
Anyone know what the deal is as I really don't want to have to spend $1100.00 or more and replace the nav system.

I mentioned the Lockpick in another thread a few weeks ago and was informed by one of the vendors, I think it was Double D Mods, that it was no longer available. I'm pretty sure they used to sell it so they should know.

Edit: Here I found it:

Default back up camera

I don't want to spend $1100 plus dollars to get a back up camera or try to watch a DVD which is illegal.
Coastetech has more recent lockpic systems for CTS and others.
I also don't feel you get much if any return at trade in or sale for this kind of expense.
Some of the free standing BU cameras are not much. Have one on my Yukon which has a tiny screen with a wireles camera and doesn't show up at night.
My friend has a factory GM back up camera on his 2007 Tahoe which is amazing. I shows as well at night as day. I would think you could adapt something like that on the Corvette which should have one available from GM anyway.
On another Corvette website there are people who have installed the BU camera and were very happy with the results.
MY 2 cts worth

You can replace the factory Nav with something better for A LOT less than $1100. DoubleD just had a thread about a new Jensen model for under $400 with video input for a backup camera.

I guess one of my other concerns is this is a 6 month old car and if a warrenty issue comes up I don't want the after market unit to be some kind of issue.
Also there is a lot of things tied into the factory nav and a concern may be possibly loosing communication as the blue tooth is also tied in there.
Maybe unecessary paranoia (sp)
