Problem starting the z06, need help!
good morning...
I thought that my battery was dead and put a 1k amps optima but still has problem starting.
it seems like starter is not receiving enough power from the battery.
or any ground problem?
need help, can't use my car

I have an 05 Z51. Lately, it will not turn over, but acts like is should. The only solution is to disconnect battery, wait a few seconds, then reconnect. The other issue I had with starting was my wire going to the starter. The plastic that held the connection on the starter melted over time due to the heat. It finally got to where the car would not start.
Both of my issues have happened to other members, so they are somewhat common issues. The first one more on 05's for some reason. The second issue has happened to a lot of members.

my car is a 07 z06 and it has twin turbo on that car.
probably turbo melted the starter area.

I saw on ebay they have prices from 80 bucks to 350.
both prices are remanufactured.
whats the difference between thoses prices?

I bought a new starter for a 1999 Tahoe. It fit perfectly. I only had to cut the connector off at end of one cable and crimp on a new connector. Just a simple ring connector I believe is all that I had to put on. That fit with the new starter and it worked perfectly. Thanks to other members for that tip.
