Default Corsa Sport or Xtreme?

I apologize I cant find any new threads on this and I am a new member. I just purchased a 2006 stock C6 and I am looking to add exhaust. It seems the Corsa is what I am probably going to get. I want loud but no drone when cruising because my wife will be with me sometimes.

What are your thoughts on the Corsa Sport or Xtreme axle back? How much difference does 3.5" vs 4" tips make? Where is cheapest place to buy a set?

Thank you all in advance!

Do a search using the Forums search box and type in Corsa.

I have the Sports and there is no drone but decel burble will be present. My wife finds this annoying. But then I had the headers and now have the Z06 manifolds so it is a bit louder. I am getting tired of this too and am presently thinking all going back to stock. Either the whole system or at least the manifolds and H pipe and leaving the Sport mufflers.

I am trying to remember just how much burble was present with stock manifolds.

I have ridden in a Vette with the extremes and found them to be too loud for my liking.

To me the extremes are too loud. My Sports are awesome.

at WOT they roar. At cruise with just enough throttle to keep speed you don't hear the exhaust at all and I have a convertible.
Come off the gas and that wonderful burble starts. It's not LOUD but you hear it.
But loud is a very relative thing.

I have Xtremes- No drone even without cats at any speed. Very mild at idle, but absolutely LOUD at WOT....

Before I added headers and x pipe they had a nice rumble at idle.

As mentioned above, car has major decel burble... Which I like...

Here it is fresh after Pfadt header install, no cats

I also have an 06 A6 and just installed Corsa sports yesterday. I love them, not too loud in the cabin ,no drone while cruising and nothing but sweet music to the ear at idle. Make sure you get a tune also. Bat Pig out.

Corsa Sport catback and no drone. Loved the sound. Added headers and hi-flo cat and the sound became much louder - a tad too loud perhaps. Still love it though and absolutely no drone.

I had sports on my 12.....I loved the sound but did not like the size or placement of the tips.....The sound was perfect though. Loud enough to notice but not intruding in the cabin...ie no drone...

If the sports had the extreme tips they would have got my money yet again...

I ordered Borla type 2 for my 13 yesterday.

I originally had Sport then switched to Xtreme. Major diff in sound volume. Tip size has little to do with sound but 3-1/2 and 4" tips are available in both.

I don't know if you are considering other exhausts, but here is mine with gen2 fusions at idle. I will try and get some good flyby clips this weeknd.

I had the original dual mode exhaust on my A6 08, I hated the drone, so I went with the 4" tips and Corsa extreme, no drone, fairly deep idle and loud at WOT. I have a sound deadening mat in the back k and behind the seats so even at WOT it isn't horribly loud.

I would make the same choice over again, Corsa says the extreme is roughly 104 decibels at wide open, I can be heard over a mile away when getting on it but in the cabin you wouldnt know it was that loud. The let off/burbling is actually my favorite part, makes me feel like a race car drivwr when im using th paddle shifters. That to me is a win-win.

As far as where I ordered it from....I ordered from west coast corvettes, I ordered over the phone, their customer service was beyond great, and I received the items in about 4 days. y also offer a low price guarantee, you find it for a lower price and they will match/beat it. overall I would/will recommend the corsa exhaust everytime, mainly the extreme but overall the corsa is the best exhaust out there.

I had ordered some other things from Paul at Westcoast Corvette so I called and talked to him and he actually talked me out of the Xtremes and into the Sports because eventually I want to add other things.

They are showing to arrive Saturday so now to find someone to help me install Saturday afternoon

thank you all very much for taking the time to post replies and videos...any recommendations on intakes now?

You'll love the Sport but don't expect the killer sound unless you go offroad x-pipe.

Paul is great! He is a good friend of mine... You'll love your sports. I removed my npp's on my 13 and was ok with new sound. Then I swapped my x pipe to corsa (mine had the additional cats 12-up) and the sound really changed as well as throttle response and take off. I love it now! They are the perfect sound as you can hear even with the top up but absolutely no drone whatsoever!!!!!

Yea obviously I've only talked to him on phone few times but he seems like a good guy and very knowledgable. Will be in contact with frequently which is unfortunate for my bank account

I have Corsa Sports behind American Racing Headers and hi-flo cats. They are loud, with lots of burble and pops on decel, but no drone whatsoever. Before I installed the ARH's and ran the Corsas with the stock manifolds and H-pipe they were not as loud but were still satisfying for me.

I like my Corsa Sports, and I am now running them with my stock X-Pipe. I don't think there is any noise difference when you go to the Corsa X-Pipe.
