Default Header mod questions

Greetings to all!

So, I have a 2011 GS with the NPP exhaust. I am trying to decide how I should go about modifying the system.

Long tube headers and improved X-pipes seems to be the path. Other than the mufflers with their switchable outlets, does the NPP offer any improvements that I should leave alone?

Is there an issue in so doing when you have the NPP mufflers? Do they need to be replaced?

Can they handle the bigger headers (1 7/8 or even the 2" - CRAZY! I know!).

What are your thoughts and experience here?

Brands to buy, brands to avoid?

We suggest the 1-7/8" primary as this is best for daily driving and various bolt on components. The GS models all have external oil coolers, so our headers are designed to work around this component, some others may not be. Install is fairly straight forward, all necessary components are included such as O2 extensions, clamps etc. This entire system will bolt up right up to the axle back NPP exhaust. Even though we manufacture our own exhaust system for this application, the NPP exhaust with long tube headers and integrated merge spike do sound really wicked together.
