anybody else running the obx. the price is great but they only make the 1 7/8. seems the 1 3/4 would be better suited to my stock application
I went back and forth on trying to decide whether to go 1 3/4 or 1 7/8. The amount of money I saved going with the 1 7/8 deal from Texas Speed almost paid for my Fast 102. Car made 403/408 with these headers, Fast 102, Vararam, and Nxt Step axle back. Whatever you decide, be sure to post up sound clips
I don't know why these headers are never mentioned on this forum but Texas Speed makes an outstanding header for the C5/C6 cars. They're stainless steel, and literally 1/3 the price of some of their competitors. Their only problem is keeping them in stock. Back orders are common.
Kooks & AR's are obviously works of art but if you're on a budget and can't spend $1K+ on headers, look into the TSP stuff. It's an excellent bang for the buck and we have no issues with them at all. Install probably 15-20 sets per year on Corvettes. Installation is also very smooth as well, something I CANNOT say for one other competing product.
I'm feeling the same way, they definitely seem to be the best made headers out of all of the brands. They also have a unique design for more torque. I wish there was a better way to get an idea of how they will sound in person before buying
I've read a ton of horror storries from using cheap brands, I'd hate to start the project and get stuck with parts that don't fit. I would go with Pfadt, Kooks, or ARH myself based on my research. All 3 are still made in the US, and provide great customer service
