Took the '08 C6 automatic to the Mile this past weekend. Had a dyno tune done on Wednesday before going to Beeville. Car pulls like an Atlas rocket through the first three gears (shifting @ 6200). Once into fourth gear, it starts to "lay down" about 5300 rpm. Very best run was 157.5. Called tuner; he said to short shift it because he set up computer program as if stall convertor was already installed (it's not YET) That didn't help. Hate to pay for another dyno tune at different shop but also am not comfortable returning to last tuner. Anyone got an idea of where I should look to try and find the problem?
My LS3 shifts "around" 6400 rpm's from the factory so shifting around 6400/6500 rpms in the first three gears may do a little something to improve the top speed, just remember different day, different air.

I was there with the black GS M6 with silver fender stripes. Havn't touched the engine or drivetrain and ran my best Sunday morning at 161.3 , my slowest was Sunday afternoon at 158.2
Car is lowered and I blocked the front grill opening . From running Sat. without the grill blocked ; I feel that mod is worth a solid 1 mph.

Hello,
Stock C6's run 157mph in the standing mile. Sound like you were running into the wind so you did well.
Here's my music video from the Ohio Mile this summer. I hit 150 mph on run 4 and 5 but without a rollbar I had to slow down to 135mph across the finish line. With tune, Vararam cold air intake and exhaust cutouts my A6 C6 was at 150mph 2/3rd of the way down the track against a 10-15 mph wind.
