I am thinking about using C5Z rims on my C6 for HPDEs. Part of the reason I would like to do this is for the tire options. Does anyone have experience with this? Best tire size? I have done a lot of research on matching tire sizes to make sure i dont mess up my traction control. I also assume that my TPMS will fit on the rims too. The rims are .5 inch wider so that is a bit of a plus. I really like the performance of the Hankook Ventus R-S3.
I have but had to get rid of the setup because I'm so low. The wheels stick out a fair amount on the narrow body cars so if too low they will hit the fenders on compression. If at stock height or just a few turns on the bolts you should be fine. I'm full lock on the bolts plus no bushings so the car is as low as it can go.
I ran the 285 Nitto NT05's and they hooked laterally and from a slow roll with 500rwhp(at that time).
As you probably know already the C5Z wheels are about the best you can get from strength, weight, size, tire options, etc. I hated to get rid of them but I'm too stubborn to raise the car up.
