My 2013 GS rear is making noise when making sharp turns at slow speed! I know from owning Corvettes for years that there is an additive to the rear lube that reduces this situation, but that was with my 67! Does that still apply?
The car has 5000 miles on it and this just started happening a couple of days ago.
You need to change the fluid and use Dextron Diff lube part # 88862624. 75w-90 1.8 quarts. Do a few figure eights when your done. This is a relativity new lube that has the additive added.

I agree, but that lube should already be installed in a new 2013 Corvette..
My 07 Z sounded like a dump truck and that lube took care of it. I think it came out in 2008..

The dealership wants about $33 per quart (or the one I went to did). Most of the full synthetic 75w-90 does have the additive. RPM transmission recommended Valvoline syn power 75w-90 ($12 per quart) to put in my new diff I am getting. You need to several tightly figure 8 in both directions once you change the fluid.

Reason: added figure 8

My diff had a problem when I was turning to the right sharply but not to the left slowly. I drained the fluid only see lots of metal flakes in the oil. I sent it to RPM transmissions because it is a 4.10 built diff by them. They found the problem after taking it apart. The bolts that hold the carrier together had all been stripped. RPM stated this is very rare. They also found a small hairline crack inside the case. I do give them high marks for calling and asking me if a wanted to replace the case. I will have a brand new stage 4 diff this Monday. I seriously doubt you have this problem.

Take it to the Dealer!
Your Warranty can't even be a year old yet. Don't spend your $$ or time. Let the Dealer diagnose the problem while you wait or let them give you a loaner while they work on the car.

Plus you're in their system as having "The" problem.
