Had my sensor in my pedal go out, ordered a new pedal and fixed that problem. While I was troubleshooting, I took the TB off and cleaned it, now it's idling high (around 1-1.1k) then when it sits still it'll come down to normal. Code says it's an evap emission leak, would that be causing it to idle high? Most people say it's a gas cap issue, if that's the case it shouldn't be idling high right?
an evap leak will not affect the idle. cleaning the t-body will. if you drive the car in traffic for 15-30 minutes it will recalibrate. some just let the engine idle and that works also.
now if you bumped any of the plastic lines than run over the front of the intake it can give you and evap leak code. make sure those are not damaged.
