Can anyone help. I have a 2005 C6. The door won't unlock from the outside with the remote and when it does the car won't start and when it does the dash has no power. HELP
Okay. Is the car driven regularly or only occasionally?
What I'm getting at is, when chasing electrical gremlins you HAVE TO know that you have a good battery. It is possible that your almost new battery is bad or at least not up to snuff for this car. It might be a good idea to have it tested under load.
Also would be a good idea to get the trouble codes read in case the car is trying to tell you what it's complaining about. You didn't mention that the check engine light was on or not or any messages in the DIC.
I understand what you mean. I've try to jump the car as well no luck. Let me start from the beginning. The car is driver two to three times a week. The problem started with the trunk just opening on its own a few times. Didn't think anything of it at the time. The car would set for a day or so. I'ed walk out to drive and the door wouldn't unlock. Let it set. The door would open, put my foot on the brake push the button to start, nothing. No power at all. I had to use the handle on the floor to open the door to get out. Check the battery checks good. Try a jump, nothing. The times I got the car started I had no instrument panel power at all and when I turn the car off the DIC would flash all these checks. Service everything under the sun. Then the alarm light on the dash would light up and stay on. I would let the car set and everything would work fine. This is driving me crazy.
