Default Torque Tube help needed.

Hey Guys,

I started replacing my clutch yesterday and found out the shaft that the clutch disk ride on in the torque tube is twisted and loosing teeth. Does anyone make an upgraded one or does anyone have the GM part number for it?

I found someone post this pic on ls1 tech. I need the part circled in red in this diagram.

I called the dealer and found the part. FYI here is a pic I found and the PN is on the bag if anyone in the future needs it.

Typically those do not really go bad that often.

How much power are you making with the car?

Hi Bobby,

I make around 800whp on the nitrous but i'm just guessing based on the amount of nitrous and how much the motor makes, I'll have offical dyno numbers on Jan 2nd. I't was most likely done before I bought the car because I honestly haven't even launched the car. The splines where the clutch disk sit were twisting and had started to round off from wear. I bought an LG carbon fiber driveshaft while I was waiting on the parts from GM so it all worked out. :-)

Wow that shaft is expensive! While you're in there, call RPM transmissions and get a set of their high-speed ceramic driveshaft bearings.
