2005 brake/handling issue

I have a 2005 6mt corvette and earlier I was driving down the road when all of a sudden it felt like the front brakes were grinding/ locking up on me. The active handling light came on my dash while this happened. I was not applying the brakes when this happened. I am not sure if it is my brakes or something with the engine forcing the car to slow down out of nowhere. The front brake pads and calipers were changed about 20k miles ago. Is it time for new brakes?

I think you need to look at the "Service Active Handling - Consumer Action" sticky at the top of this Forum page (above the red line).

Wow I feel dumb.. sorry for the post then! I have read a little on that sticky and now it seems that is my problem. Thank you for the help

make sure they install the orange plastic wedge, ask to see it before they install it.

Okay it seems from the threads I was reading that the dealership can install a clip but it doesn't fix it for good. Is that wedge what you are talking about different from the clip?
