If you are asking whether the car idles with the hot cam I can offer my experience w/LS3.
A6 = doesn't idle worth a dam.
M6/4 = idles pretty good.
As for sound, if you listen to a Z06 you'd be pretty close.

I have a LS3 A6 that started with a hot cam. Would not idle. Finally after 2 years of pain trying to tune it among other things I thought was a problem contributing to the issue I found that an LS7 cam was very close to the Hot Cam specs but much better LSA.
We pulled the Hot Cam and installed the LS7 cam. Car performed close to the same as hot cam but now idled and had 1000% better low speed drive-ability. The person I sold the Hot Cam to installed with an M6 and idled and ran perfect.
Do a search here and in General for Hot Cam. I've posted what turned out to be probably days worth of reading with my issues with the Hot Cam.

I work on 3 cars with the hotcam.2 are LS2's and 1 LS3.All are auto's and if you like a nice lopey burble from your exhaust you will love the sound of the hotcam with its 112 LSA.the difference in sound depending on what mufflers you use is like night and day.with stock mufflers not very noticeable at all.these 3 cars all idle well at about 800 RPM.quite a few tuners out there seem to have trouble tuning cars with hotcam installed.dont have an idle clip of them

With the LS7 cam I idle quite well at 575 - 600.

I shouldn't even respond to this because the only videos I have are on my phone and I don't know how to post pics.
That being said, I have an LS2 with a Comp Cam and AR long tube Stainless steel headers with a Borla exhaust, with a m6. I will say this, It sounds nothing like a stock Z, it idles a 800 rpm and shakes the car at an idle. I could sit and listen to it all day (I have a problem) The cam and my Procharger both come in a 4k rpm it is controlled insanity.
If you know how I can get a clip to you, let me know. PM me and I will give you my Cell # and start it over the phone for you! You wont be disappointed.

I tried to email the videos I have of my car running, it says it cant send attachments over 25 mb. I'm sorry I suck at this computer stuff.I don't get it, one video is only 9 seconds, and that's too big? really.
