Default Brake Rotors

Can someone tell me...I purchased a 2008 C6 Coupe...I'm wanting to change rotors and pads...I have currently cross drilled rotors...Does this mean I have the Z51 package on my car...which have bigger rotors than stock...I managed to get a build sheet and it says option F55 (magnetic selective ride control ) which describes having larger cross drilled rotors...Am I safe to assume I do have the bigger rotors...

Yes.

The F55 option included the larger Z51 rotors, starting in the 2007 model year.

So according to pictures I sent I would have the F55 package...What I actually I have is a vehicule summary sheet from Global Warranty Management...Stating the Option Codes...But my VIN # was used and this is what came up...I'm puzzled because axle ratio are not the same on my sheet it says 2.56 ratio...Is the only way to get actual information is going to National Corvette Museum...

BSPC looked in glove box...there is no " Z51 "...I do have the FE2 - F55...on the Global Build sheet it says ( F55 - Magnetic Selective Ride Control - Includes driver selectable tour and sport settings - larger cross-drilled brake rotors...Is it safe to assume they are the same size rotors as the Z51 package...

Just measure them!
13.4" front equals Z51
13" rear equals Z51

12.9" front equals base
12" rear equals base

It looks like you have the larger rotors by the pics.

Hope this helps.

There is no such thing as a Z51 rotor.
Those larger drilled rotors are listed as (code J55). That'll be the code listed on the glovebox label. They are simply a part of the Z51 option and the F55 option in base cars from '07-'13. They were also a stand alone option for base cars. Only 9 base cars were equipped that way in '08.

As far as the axle ratio in '08, the 2.56 (code GM8) is the standard for an A6 and a 2.73 (code GU2) was an option for both the base suspension (code FE1) and the F55 option (code FE2). The 2.73 was part of the Z51 option with an A6.

If you think it may be different than the glovebox code, then look for the ratio sticker on the differential itself.

I just edited my post to indicate that was in '08. Other years may have more or less.
