Anther request for help because the car wont start. Well it will start some times and sometimes it wont. The only way I can get it cranked after it wont start is to disconnect the negative terminal wait 10 to 30 secs and reconnect it. Could this be because of my tune, bad sensor, or something else? Thanks for the help
Trying to diagnose a "won't start" problem from a limited description is similar to finding your way out of Mammoth Cave with a pencil light. More descriptors about your car's year/model/mileage, the specific problem (other than "it won't start"), when it occurs, your list of mods, and the time frame from modding to starting issues (days or months) would be helpful.

car is a 05 z51 with 53018 miles
mods are as followed:
Cam
heads have new springs rods etc for cam specs
full intake
full exhaust
tune
z06 brakes
when the car doesn't crank it will it will give the buzz sound as if it is going to crank but doesn't. some times i can turn it off and try again a couple of times and it will crank some times i have to disconnect the battery and reconnect it. occasionally it will flash service column lock but i can turn it off and try again and it will crank. car is getting a new tune on Tuesday but was hoping to figure this out so my shop bill isn't crazy high.

It could be the battery. The only was to test it is with a load test. Even new batteries can be bad. The C6 is very hard on batteries and anytime there is an electrical problem the battery is the first thing to check.

2005s are notorious for steering column lock issues. If you're seeing that message on the DIC then that's probably your issue. There is a SCL bypass kit now. I think corvettes of Houston developed it.
My 2005 acted the exact same way. However I didn't get the service SCL message and I just started leaving it on a charger when it was parked and it was fine afterwards.
I had another issue where the car would crank but never turn over. This ended up being the fuel pump relay.
Thanks. Site wont let me buy it so i have to give them a call tomorrow. I hope this does the trick. Im going to have the battery tested tomorrow and tuesday a new tune.
