Default Engine Oil

Has anybody used Royal Purple Synthetic Oil in the LS3, if so did you have good or bad results?

I only use Red Line oil in my car and it works great! I started with the trans and diff and then the engine.

Guess the question is, why?, over other less expensive brands.

If you put in your trans, you will see an improvement in the way it shifts. I use their trans and diff lube in all my cars even my daily divers.

Engine oil is different. I only use in the Vette. It is pure synthetic using a polyol ester base stock. Red Line doesn't have a good, better, best oil, they only have best. They blend and package it all, nothing is out sourced.

I started using it about 10 years ago.

And what does it do better than other quality engine oils?

I work @ NAPA & I can get Royal Purple Pretty Cheap. Plus alot of the customers say it's pretty good oil. I'm going to look into red line as well.

Thanks

Cheap is good for good oil. But you could get even cheaper good oil!!

Just trying to get one to think of what redline/royal purple is going to do better.

bobistheoilguy dot com is a good place for info.

And since ya'll will ask... I use Pennzoil Platinum.

It is more consistent because of the base stock and does a better job at removing contaminates. I put a new diff in my car because I wanted a Quaife and 3:73 gears, and I put Red Line in it when I got the car new in 2006 and the shop that changed it out could not believe how good the inside of the diff looked because of the lube.
