It is clear that the 06 C6Z has a deficient alternator and fails often at high rpm or intensive demand. I track my C6Z and need to replace my alternator with a HP type unit (prefer a bolt-on type).
Any recommendations? Please try to avoid providing anecdotal information. Links and experience with said product is appreciated.
It fixed my problem completely. I got the 170A Chromed one.

Mr. Elder,
Thanks for the prompt and accurate information. I will contact their tech support Monday and discuss my needs as I think my unit will need a different size pulley to reduce the rpm of the unit.
They look so good I just bought one in black. The only issue with black, is that you need a ground wire.
I also have the black anodized alternator, but did not use the ground strap. What I did is I sanded / filed away the anodizing from the back of the alternator where it makes contact with the metal bracket on the motor. This sufficiently grounds the alternator and obviates the need for the additional ground strap. Another user on the thread located in the forced induction sub-forum did the same thing, presumably with successful results.

I have the black 170A. It comes with the ground cable. All you have to do is take 60 seconds to undo the one ground on the block below the alternator, attach ground and be done with it. Was quicker/easier than sanding down the anodizing.
