Default Gremlins

I have a 2009 Base Corvette with the automatic transmission. I love the car but the electronic sensors are driving me crazy. I have replaced a throttle position sensor, a air flow sensor, two brake pressure sensors (one today) and I have at least one fuel level sensor bad and at least two of the tire pressure sensors are bad. The price for replacing these from GM is $100-$150 each plus labor. I also had to have the shift **** assembly replaced yesterday after it literally fell apart in my hand.

My question is: do any of the rest of you have these problems or is mine just possessed with gremlins?

You are pretty unique to have that many issues with one car. Did you buy it used or new? Many have experienced all of those issues but not all together.

The fuel sending unit problem "might" be fixed by running a couple tanks of gas with a bottle of Techron additive mixed in. Some people have had success with that. Then just continue using only top tier gas.

The tire sensors can be bought a lot cheaper. Example from our vendor gmpartshouse.com:

2005 – 2009

25758220 – Tire pressure sensor – $59.98 each

15234846 – Tire pressure sensor nut – $4.16 each

Total set of 4 nuts and 4 sensors $256.56

Note: The sensor comes with the washer and valve stem cap.

Setup includes: 4 sensors, 4 washers/o-rings, 4 caps and 4 nuts.

No response? Are you just ranting or do you want to try to get some help here?

How do you know you need 2 new TPMS sensors? That would be very unusual, to even have one go out on an '09 at this time. Possible but not likely.

Who is telling you the sensors are bad? If it's the Dealer it sounds more like your Dealer is possessed by greed.

If you are just going by your DIC messages you might want to search the Forum on battery failure.
