Im dropping my car off in the am to get a few goodies installed! I posted the build to get some opinions but got not a single one so, ill try this section!
So i have a 08 ls3 white m6 vette lowered on factory springs, npp exhaust and air aid intake. The car dynod 401.38.
Now for the goodies!
Comp cam custom grind...lsa113. 233/248-618/596
C5r timing chain
Melling oil pump
Arp bolts
Cam sprocket
New seals and gaskets
Comp push rods
Titanium retainers
New valve springs
Tsp 1 7/8 to three inch headers
Z06 mid pipe
Akrapovic axle back
Lsxperts tune.
How do think all this is gonna sound and perform?
It "sounds" like it will be a beast!... I think you'll gain 40+hp and you're looking at all the necessary valve train upgrades. That Akra exhaust is a beauty and sounds marvelous. Should really shake it with that headers and Cam... enjoy!
Sweet! Im hoping for closer to 70+ hp but we will see. A 1lt camaro with the same cam pkg headers and stock exhaust plus the tune put down 490hp from the same shop. Im gonna do some good comparisons to the npp and the Akrapovic in a video. All the ones i see are people stuck in traffic and i dont really hear the car.
Just a question, not being critical: that seems to be a fairly "big" cam, plus you have a CAI. Will the stock heads provide enough flow, especially with the 1-7/8 headers?
The stock ls3 heads flow very well so i didnt see a need to change them and the ls3 respond better to the 1-7/8 . With that said, i got the car back yesterday and its nasty!!! Final dyno was 500.8rwhp and 454.6 rwtq! Drives great, no surging and still get 28mpg on the highway!
great results! congrats.. I'm really itching to put a Cam in and do the other associated upgrades.. just trying to get the $$ together before the track season if possible..

Nice numbers... " nasty " good word I like that !!! enjoy - and play safe !!!
My shop advised me to use 1 3/4 headers on my build.. its already finished, & will be going on the dyno next week...
Another LS2 Vette made almost 500 HP to the rear wheels and 470 lb TQ.. both cars are automatic..
It has a
Callies 4" stroker crank 403" ci
Wiseco forged pistons
Manley Forged H beam Rods
243 Ported & polished heads
Titanium retainers
Vararam CAI
Melling oil pump
FAST 102 intake, ported..
Kooks 1 3/4 headers..
Thats about all I can think of off the top of my head... at my age I'm lucky to have gotten that far...
They said the larger headers would be better over 4000 rpm, but "most" of my driving will be under that RPM so I'll have a little more torque at low RPM..with the 1 3/4 headers..

Ive heard the ls2s respond better with the 1 3/4 headers. Thats sounds like a healthy build though!
