Stainless exhaust
Would this be good to piece into my exhaust on an 08? Is it the right type of tubing?

It would be usable if you are an expert fabricator and experienced S/S welder.
Would probably be better off at a muffler shop that has S/S stock and experience.

It's the same material that all the header companies use, but that price is way high. Take haljensen's advice.

I will be taking the car to a shop but it is a small shop and the guy does not stock 3" SS materials, he said he could piece in some standard galvanized and it would be OK but I would like stainless.

Yes you are correct, however I'm going with an exhaust off of a 2009 ZR1 and I will need a small piece to make the transition.

You have ZR1 manifolds, cats and mid-pipe already?

Yes I do, I am told that the angle on the passenger side changed in 09 and I really wanted the X pipe rather than the H pipe of 08.
I have the same car you do except mine is CRM.
