Default Need speed

I'm looking for some cheap upgrades for my 2006 base(LS2-100% stock) around $400-550 per upgrade. Not grand total. Possibly including installation(estimate) also wondering about a cam. Can you install one without lifting the engine? I know in the Camaro you can but what about the Corvette? I have been looking at CAI's too any thought on ones withy the most HP increase?

Anything will help!

Best regards,

You better define the desired power level and intended usage.

There are few upgrades in that range. A dyno tune is likely your best bet at $350-$400. After that, look at exhaust upgrades in the $1200 (+ install) range. Then think about a cold air intake and perhaps a FAST intake or ported stock intake manifold which will be another $1500 or so.

Basically if you want to add about 50hp....figure $3k or more unless you find some sales or do some real bargain shopping. Don't forget, it's not so much the cost of the part being changed as it is all the misc stuff. You'll be surprised how quickly "misc" adds up.

not sure where you are from but if you have emissions in your state be aware that sometimes the headers and exhaust depending on the type can throw you a CEL

Like 96GS said....a tune will be the best for the money, but I would not do that until I did a true CAI. The LS2 kinda suffers in this area. The Fast Intake is kinda expensive, but would help a lot. After that you can work on the exhaust, but again, that gets expensive.
As far as CAI's go.....you can do a 'search' on cold air intakes and be able to read all day about them. There are 3 or 4 names you will hear a lot.

My I suggest adding a complete Z06 exhaust (manifolds to exhaust tips) if the budget allows it will work wonders with the above...... and If you really want to bring it up another notch add the fast 90
