I am installing a Quaife QDF24B carrier in a 2008 Z06 rear end with the stock 3.42:1 gears. I compared the Quaife to the original carrier and it places the ring gear about a quarter of an inch further from the pinion.
It looks like a ring gear spacer would be the only solution, but I have never heard of anyone needing one for this application and don't know if I can buy the spacer of have to fab one. If anyone has had this problem, please let me know how you handled it.
Thanks,
Eric
Quaife distributor could not help, but recommended that I call RPM Transmissions. The QFD24B that is listed for a C6 Z06 will not work with stock gears. If you plan to use a Quaife differential, call RPM Transmissions first. They seem to be the most knowledgeable. Don't buy one somewhere else, then call RPM like I did.

I bought almost all my diff parts from them. They know what they are doing and their pricing is very fare as well.
You will like not having clutches in your diff, the Quaife is really nice. I have had mine about a year. I found a guy on the forum selling one that he never installed, and then found out that we worked for the same company and I bought his, but got the gears, shafts and such from RPM.
