Here is a great deal on some blemished Super Dampers straight from ATI. I bought one the other day thanks to "turboffr"s post and it looked just as good as any ATI damper I have bought before, just a few nicks in the finish.
I inspected the belts and noticed the dreaded wobble in the Harmonic Balancer similar to this video
RSVLT2,
I'm in NE Dallas (Sachse) and have done this twice removing the rack. Not a hard job but it is time consuming.
I also have the pin kit that you can use. Orielly's has the loaner puller that you need (the Chrysler one) and at the suggestion of LG Motorsports I bought the longer LS7 bolt to pull the damper on. I also have the flywheel lock tool.
You should also replace the front seal while you have access to it. About $20 and pops out with a screwdriver. And buy the ARP damper bolt. High Performance World in Garland has them in stock. Around $30.
If you need a hand, let me know.

Thanks for this thread RSVLT2... I just got me the same stuff you did (ATI HB and ARP bolt)!
There was no Ebay listings left for a blem HB but after asking if there was more to come to the seller, was told to contact Rick directly at ATI, and this fine gentleman sold me one right over the phone at the same Ebay price you got....
Checking on a few quotes now in the South Florida area.

Welll the ATI arrived today, and as I was telling a fellow forum member on a PM, I'll be damn if I can tell you what makes it a blem... aside from a bit of dust on it.
Killer deal!

Good stuff Guy! I missed out on the Super Damper deal had an issue with my CC that I was not aware of at the time of order (ID thieves suck!).
My service manuals come in any day now. I may go with a PB OEM instead. I dont intend to supercharge this C6, it has enough power as is for my needs.

Very welcome! Glad to return the favor.
My ARP bolt arrived today, all set for the install next week with HP sales of Florida...
It's going to be a relief because the wobble looks really bad right now.

Thanks for the tips Tracy. I did'nt see your post earlier. I'm in the Cedar Hill/Midlothian area. Will definitely reach out if I get into a jam.
Did you get one yet?
Mine's in! Happy camper here....
Nice! I wasn't so lucky to get in on the deal this round. I am going to wait a couple more weeks and see if I can score a blem. If not I'm doing an OEM from Orielly's.
For you guys that have done this...Is it necessary to use the GM Steering Column Anti-Rotation Pin J-42640 when removing the steering shaft?
Couldn't I get by with having a helper turn/hold the steering wheel?
Not needed, and you don't need a helper either. Just put the steering wheel straight, the bolt will then be on the top of the shaft. Just don't spin the steering wheel while the shaft is disconnected.
Where did you guys get the bolt from? I just went on ebay and purchased a blem dampener.. but Im not sure on the part number for the bolt… or if I need anything other than the bolt.
