Hi all,
I'm installing an axle back exhaust on my 07 coupe and having some difficulty getting the old pipes removed. I can't find the clearance to get the stock set up out. Do I have to drop the sway bar? Do I have to loosen everything from the headers back? Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks!
from what I can remember reading my SLP directions, the sway bar needs removed, or loosened I cant remember but I ended up just cutting a small section off my stock pipes to get them to clear.
I don't think you have to remove the sway bar but I remember dropping the top or lower bolts so it hangs down. I also cut my pipe where it enters the muffler.
Remove the mid pipe.
Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts from the sway bar bushings and let the center of the sway bar swing down out of the way.
Remove the mufflers from the wire hangers.
Pull the overaxle pipes and mufflers.

Thanks guys. I pulled the sway bar down and loosened the x pipe. I got one side almost out, then found that my jack stands didn't leave me enough room to wiggle them out, so I cut them. At least they are out. Thanks all for your help!

yeah...that's why I had to cut mine.
btw...what catback did you install?
Ahhhhh, got it installed and on the ground again. She sounds awesome! Supposed to be good weather tomorrow, so I think we'll take a roadtrip and test out the new sound!

I'll be doing the same with a new Corsa setup next week.

so...on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the loudest how do you rate the drone at cruise?

I'd say that on the highway, with cruise set at 65, exhaust level would be 2.5-3.0. At 80 it might be about 3.5-4.0. I have a high tolerance for this as my last car was a Mustang GT convertible with straight pipes.
I asked my wife what her opinion of the exhaust noise level was, and she said about 4.0.
IMO its not overbearing. It's a fun sports/muscle car and sounds just right. We can hear the radio just fine, carry on a conversation with no problem, and hear other road noises/traffic. I am glad that I got the Loudmouth II, as opposed to the I however. That might have been a little too loud.
