Default Rough idle

I have a 2007 C6 with Corsa Sport Exhaust, Airaid cold air and a tune. The car just started to have a problem with the idle. Sometimes is just fine and sometimes it idles so rough that I think it may die. Does the LS2 have a fuel filter? If so is it easily changed or do I have to remove the gas tank? Any ideas or information would help.

buy some MASS SAFE cleaner and wash out the sensor then make sure these clamps are all tight. There is no external fuel filter.

Could be lots of things, so if any codes are set use them to diagnose the problem. And/or look for vacuum leak, loose plug wires, etc.

Can you recall a particular brand to use?

I think CRC is a brand that you can easily find at most auto parts stores. Works very well.

Thanks bro. I just picked up a can and cleaned it up. I got nervous as the car stumbled when I first started her up. But now all is good. There was some residue in there and around the throttle body blade.

Default Rough Idle

Well I pulled the air filter and purchased some CRC MFS cleaner and removed the sensor and cleaned and sprayed. I cleaned the air cleaner and put everything back together and started it up and for the first few seconds I thought for sure I had screwed something up but it cleared up and ran fine. In fact it felt crisper that it had before. Unfortunately it just lasted for a couple of days and the roughness returned. I guess I will have to take it to a shop and see what they can find. Thank you all for your help.

It could be a loose hose or connection or just the ecm is not adjusting well to the airaid. Anything done to it recently?

Absolutely nothing. The car as been running just great and I have had zero problems. It has about 68K miles and never had an issue. Even now 85% of the time it runs and idles just fine but then the hicups start.

A forum vendor. I would prefer not to say. I am not a hot rodder and I have no intention of trying to get 600+ horsepower out of my car. I want a smooth comfortable car that provides me with an E ticket ride when I want it to. This shop is more focused on the individual that wants to spend thousands of dollars to make their car go fast. The tune was done 2-3 years ago anyway.
